Two New Shows from Flamenco Vivo Carlota Santana

Flamenco Vivo Carlota Santana has announced two shows: a Tablao Flamenco at (le) Poisson Rouge, 158 Bleecker Street, and Equilibrio (Clásica/Tradición) at the Joyce, 175 Eighth Avenue. Tablao Flamenco will be presented on the 26th and 27th of March. Equilibrio will run for a week starting 18 June. According to Flamenco Vivo, Equilibrio is “a new creation by acclaimed flamenco artist Emilio Ochando. The work embraces flamenco tradition while creating a unique environment of sound and creative staging. Shawl, bells, spoons, and castanets interact with an original musical composition by Daniel Jurado featuring multi-instrumentalist Gonzalo Grau”. Spoons?
